FAQs. So you want to know more, eh? Well, you’re in the right place.

One question we’re asked all the time: What’s the best specification criteria for choosing my floor? Here’s the answer in a nutshell:

  1. COLOR – Obviously, the color of your flooring should fit with the overall design concept, but it should also suit your specific application. For example, light colors like white don’t work well in heavy traffic areas.
  2. TEXTURE – Choose the proper emboss for your floor, based on both aesthetics and application.  A deep/highly embossed flooring tends to show less dirt. Whereas, a glossy floor with no emboss shows everything. Our Ground Control products have three different embosses, so be sure to select a product with the best emboss for your project.
  3. CHARACTER OF FILM – This is where style really comes into play. Choose the flooring pattern to meet your space’s unique design. For example, consider the wood species used, how much grain shows and how that will play in your overall design.
  4. MAINTENANCE – Be sure to select a flooring that’s in keeping with the maintenance program specific to your location, traffic, space, and finishes.
